Prospect extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 11-5. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Buffalo Grove Bison, sneaking past 5-3. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly two runs.

As for Buffalo Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since April 9th.

For Buffalo Grove's part, Rocco Perricone made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Alex Shimanski, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Coming up, Prospect will head out to take on Bartlett at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games the Hawks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Buffalo Grove, they will be playing at home against Warren Township at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Bison's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
