Wasco's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camila Almanza, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Illiana Villanueva was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Wasco's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-12. As for McFarland, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-13.
Wasco will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. McFarland won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chavez at 6:30 p.m. on January 4th.
