Baseball Recap: Riverside Military Academy Takes a Loss

Riverside Military Academy extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-16 in the process. They lost 17-0 to the George Walton Academy Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 19-4 defeat on Wednesday.

As for George Walton Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-17. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For George Walton Academy's part, Brock Lowe and Beckett Lacour did most of the damage at the plate: Lowe got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Lacour went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Braden Callaway, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Riverside Military Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Tallulah Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, George Walton Academy will challenge rival Lakeview Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
