Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Helena). Everything went their way against the Upper Lake Cougars on Tuesday as the St. Helena Saints made off with a 74-49 win. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.

St. Helena found their leader in freshman Tessa Barrett, who posted 21 points and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barrett has scored all season.

Upper Lake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa John, who put up 23 points. That was a full 46.9% of Upper Lake's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. Aubrey Suzor was another key player, putting up eight points.

St. Helena now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Upper Lake, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

St. Helena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-31 victory against Clear Lake on the 24th. Upper Lake has also already played their next contest, a 55-37 defeat against Fort Bragg on the 24th.
