After flying high against the Silver Creek Raiders on Thursday, the Lynbrook Vikings came back down to earth. Lynbrook was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 45-44 to Branham. Lynbrook lost against Branham in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 49-38 score last time.
Among those leading the charge was Quinn Godfrey, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Gina Shim was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Lynbrook's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Branham, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Lynbrook will face off against American at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Branham's road trip will continue as they head out to face Evergreen Valley at 6:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Evergreen Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
