If the Larchmont Charter Timberwolves were feeling good off their 41-11 takedown of the Stella High Charter Academy Eagles last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Larchmont Charter's rough 45-19 loss to the Wolverines on Monday might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Larchmont Charter of the 36-17 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture last Friday.
Kelis Jones continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Foshay, scoring 20 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least a third of Foshay's points. Bethany Carranza was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Larchmont Charter has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Foshay, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Larchmont Charter will face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Animo South Los Angeles: 28.8, the Timberwolves: 20.3) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Foshay, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Horace Mann UCLA Community comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
