Nottoway is 9-1 against Randolph-Henry since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Statesmen at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Nottoway has five straight wins, Randolph-Henry has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Nottoway's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Prince Edward County, posting a 68-0 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 26 points or more this season.

Anton Carter Jr. had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 173 yards and four scores on only nine carries, while also catching one touchdown. Carter Jr. is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 125 every time he's taken the field this season.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Nottoway proved: they limited Prince Edward County to a paltry -2 yards per carry. The Cougars didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 14.8.
Nottoway didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Austin Longhnane, Drawhorn- Kelly Kahlil, and Carter Jr. picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Randolph-Henry came up short against Amelia County on Friday and fell 28-21.
Nottoway will have to keep a close watch on Jamere Gray and Cameron Sizemore, a pair of players who had a big impact on Randolph-Henry's prior game. Gray threw for 179 yards and a pair of TDs on only 17 passes, while Sizemore gained 125 total yards.
Randolph-Henry now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Nottoway, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Everything came up roses for Nottoway against Randolph-Henry in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 32-0 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Statesmen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
