The City School has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Community Academy of Philadelphia The Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Monday, The City School came up short against Kimberton Waldorf and fell 46-37. While losing is never fun, The City School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 489th, while Kimberton Waldorf is ranked 236th).
Meanwhile, Community Academy of Philadelphia's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 39-30 to Villa Victoria Academy.
The City School's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Community Academy of Philadelphia, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
The City School was dealt a bruising 61-20 loss at the hands of Community Academy of Philadelphia in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point The City School was down 36-10.
