Softball Recap: Riverside Beats Underwood for Their Fifth Straight Win

Riverside had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Underwood Eagles as they made off with an 18-4 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Riverside pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Underwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-16.

Coming up, Riverside is taking a road trip to face off against Missouri Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.8, the Big Reds 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Underwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Logan-Magnolia on the 20th.
