Pratt had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Hugoton Eagles 35-14 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Greenbacks as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Pratt found their leader in sophomore Cade Liggett, who rushed for 201 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and one score. Liggett was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 59 yards. Another player making a difference was Cresten Pore, who threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes.
Pratt's record is now 9-1. As for Hugoton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2.
Looking ahead, Pratt will square off against Andale on Friday. The Greenbacks will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Hugoton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
