Last Tuesday, Richmond City School of the Arts took a serious blow against Powhatan, falling 52-8. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Richmond City School of the Arts has scored all season.
Meanwhile, L.C. Bird earned a 36-28 victory over Monacan on Tuesday. The victory was just what L.C. Bird needed coming off of a 46-22 defeat in their prior game.
L.C. Bird's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylie Kent, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Those five blocks set a new season-high mark for Kent. Another player making a difference was Trinity Dale, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Richmond City School of the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for L.C. Bird, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
