Northgate has gone a perfect 4-0 against Mt. Diablo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Broncos will square off against the Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. Northgate's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Mt. Diablo's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Thursday, Northgate got the win against Concord by a conclusive 13-1. The win continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won five in a row.

Nate Luehs was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Christopher Flores, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. Blayne Ballard was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Northgate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against Hayward, falling 25-3.
Mt. Diablo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Vazquez, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Northgate pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Mt. Diablo, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.
