Make it eight blowout wins for the Central Cabarrus Vikings this season. They really took it to Carson for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-15 win at home. Winning may never get old, but Central Cabarrus sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Central Cabarrus got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyra Lewis out in front who scored 23 points along with four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Lewis has scored at least a third of Central Cabarrus' points. Jahnae Duncan was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six assists and six steals.
Central Cabarrus is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Carson, their defeat was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17.
Central Cabarrus will take on Northwest Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Cabarrus knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Central Cabarrus likes a good challenge. As for Carson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Rowan at 6:00 p.m. West Rowan will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.
