The Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 61-15 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans go into the 3A South Piedmont test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Northwest Cabarrus walloped Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC), 58-15, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 1-17 record. They play next when they host West Rowan for a 3A South Piedmont test on Tuesday, January 30. Carson will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 69-31 league win over East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 16-1.
