North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Cabarrus routs Carson

January 10, 2024: Concord, NC 28027

In Wednesday's league outing, the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), by a count of 65-17.

The Trojans (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against Cox Mill (Concord, NC). The Chargers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Cox Mill bounced Mooresville (Mooresville, NC), 48-26, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Cougars play the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont challenge, on Friday, January 12. Carson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 48-45 non-league loss to A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC).
