In what's become a running theme this season, the Jordan Panthers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 57-24 victory over Millikan at home. Given Jordan's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Millikan is ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Asia Edwards was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Janiah Lorn was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals.
Jordan's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Millikan, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
Jordan will head out on the road to challenge Cabrillo at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Millikan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodrow Wilson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodrow Wilson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
