Canyon Crest Academy is 4-0 against Santana since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens will be taking part in a tournament against the Santana Sultans at 1:30 p.m.
Two weeks ago, Canyon Crest Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Kearny and fell 48-45.

Canyon Crest Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Audrey Zou, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 15 points, and Elena Colon, who posted eight points and 15 rebounds. Colon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelly Gorton, who had four points and seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Canyon Crest Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santana). They blew past San Ysidro, posting a 53-10 win. The Sultans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 24 points or more this season.
Canyon Crest Academy better focus on containing Harper Diaz and Sam Mora as the pair were huge in Santana's win. Diaz posted 14 points and eight steals, while Mora put up 13 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. That's the most points Diaz has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Chawan Shiro, who had ten points and eight rebounds.
Santana is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.1 points per game. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Canyon Crest Academy against Santana in their previous matchup back in November of 2018, as the team secured a 57-18 victory. In that matchup, Canyon Crest Academy amassed a halftime lead of 29-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
