The Sherman Oaks CES Knights were the 42-34 winner over the Vaughn White Tigers when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Sherman Oaks CES took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vaughn on Monday.
It was another big night for Andrea Cervantes, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists for Vaughn. Cervantes hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Leilah Ortega, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Sherman Oaks CES's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Vaughn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-14 record this season.
Sherman Oaks CES will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against East Valley at 3:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Vaughn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fulton at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fulton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
