Winder-Barrow barely beat Apalachee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Apalachee Wildcats a 9-0 shutout on Wednesday. That looming 9-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldoggs yet this season.

Winder-Barrow's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5. As for Apalachee, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9.

Coming up, Winder-Barrow will venture away from home to take on Jackson County at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. Jackson County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Winder-Barrow's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Apalachee, they will be playing at home against Loganville at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. Loganville will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Apalachee surely won't give up without a fight.
