Sawyer Came Up Big in Dixie's 35-34 Win
Starting off the list is Dixie's Ran Sawyer, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Sawyer rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.
Cedar had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Sawyer it was a similar story. When Sawyer last faced the Reds back in September of 2023, he picked up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 82 yards on only seven carries.

Everett Kelling Delivers Best Effort of Season
Cedar came up short on Friday despite Everett Kelling delivering his best game to date. Kelling threw for 315 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 33 yards.
On the season, Kelling has thrown 21 touchdowns while averaging 240.1 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had 12 passing touchdowns.

Broc Mooy Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Broc Mooy produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Desert Hills to the win on Friday. Mooy picked up four sacks, forced a fumble, and made seven total tackles. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 5.1 total tackles per game. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Desert Hills pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Mooy and Desert Hills will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Hurricane at 7:00 p.m.

Mccord Christiansen Goes Supernova in Crimson Cliffs Win
Crimson Cliffs picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Mccord Christiansen. Christiansen was unstoppable, rushing for 107 yards and four touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Christiansen might just drop another big game when he faces off against Pine View on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Christiansen saw the Panthers), he rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.

Gerritt Grondel Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Desert Hills got the W thanks in part to Gerritt Grondel playing the best football he has all season. Grondel threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown.
Grondel and Desert Hills are on the road again on Friday to play Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. Grondel will face off against Dylyn Gabriel, the Tigers' star signal caller. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
