Basketball Recap: Lev Feiman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Brentwood School over Parkway

Brentwood School has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The match between them and the Parkway Panthers didn't end well, with the Brentwood School Eagles falling 62-47. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 41st in California, while the Panthers are ranked third in Louisiana).

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lev Feiman, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. Feiman has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jessica Liu, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Brentwood School's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Parkway, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

When Brentwood School and Parkway next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Brentwood School will try to stop Los Osos' five-game winning streak when the meet at 4:30 p.m. on January 3rd. Brentwood School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Parkway will try to stop Neville's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th.
