While Atlantic Christian's win against Cape May County Tech wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Hawks on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Gloucester County Christian didn't have quite enough to beat The Pilgrim Academy last Tuesday and fell 5-4.
Like Atlantic Christian, Gloucester County Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Caleb Brewster. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Brewster was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Atlantic Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Gloucester County Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Atlantic Christian skirted past Gloucester County Christian 3-2 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
