After flying high against the Wyalusing Valley Rams last Thursday, the Central Mountain Wildcats came back down to earth. Central Mountain fell just short of Shikellamy by a score of 36-34. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Mountain in their matchups with Shikellamy: they've now lost six in a row.
Shikellamy found their leader in underclassman Lily Fatool, who scored 20 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Fatool has scored at least 25% of Shikellamy's points. Kianah Lenner was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Central Mountain has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Shikellamy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Central Mountain will head out on the road to face off against Danville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shikellamy, they will be playing at home against Lewisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
