The Corcoran Panthers will head out to challenge the Lindsay Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corcoran is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
On Thursday, Corcoran was able to grind out a solid win over Granite Hills, taking the game 5-1.

Ethan Chavez spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tony Alvarez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Dias, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lindsay faced off against Woodlake on Thursday. The Cardinals lost 12-2 to the Tigers. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Lindsay saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Diaz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.
Corcoran pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lindsay, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Corcoran has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lindsay struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Corcoran took their victory against Lindsay when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
