Baseball Recap: Middletown's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

There's no place like home for Middletown, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Toll Gate Titans on Friday by a score of 6-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). That four run margin sets a new team best for the Islanders this season.

Evan LeVasseur was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Middletown moved to 5-11 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Toll Gate, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Middletown has already played their next match, a 7-6 defeat against Prout on the 17th. As for Toll Gate, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against East Greenwich on the 17th.
