Bryce Adams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 18 times he's played. Dane Knott was another key player, putting up 14 points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Murphy beat Hayesville 59-54 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Murphy's win came from a few key players Robbinsville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Abram Twiggs, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Payne, who posted nine points and eight assists.
Robbinsville's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Murphy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Robbinsville has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 38.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Murphy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Robbinsville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Murphy in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win. Does Robbinsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Murphy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
