The Independence 76ers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Gilroy by a score of 42-31.
Independence's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashjeet Kaur, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Isabella Aquino, who scored 14 points.
Independence's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Gilroy, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Independence will be playing at home against Del Mar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Del Mar will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Gilroy on the road again on Thursday and play against Hill at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th.
