Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hart). They never let the Golden Valley Grizzlies get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory on Friday. With that win, the Hawks brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Tristan Purfoy looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Michael Hogen was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Anthony Cavarretta was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Hart always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory (which was Hart's third in a row) raised their record to 8-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Golden Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hart will take on Saugus at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Golden Valley, they will challenge Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Golden Valley is facing Canyon at the right time seeing as Canyon is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
