Last Friday, Charter Oak blew past Workman, posting a 49-16 win on the road.
Meanwhile, Don Lugo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to Diamond Ranch at home by a decisive 47-33 margin.
Loss or not, Don Lugo got some senior leadership from Sarah Magadan who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds and Belen Perez who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds. Magadan scored a full 54.5% of Don Lugo's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Charter Oak now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Don Lugo, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Charter Oak skirted past Don Lugo 42-39 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Don Lugo's Elizabeth Camargo, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
