The Princeton Eagles waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took down Westwood 32-18. This was payback for Princeton, who suffered a 41-15 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Princeton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mackenzie Wills, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Wills has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Sissy Winn was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals and two blocks.
Princeton's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Westwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Princeton will face off against Loyalton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westwood, they will head out on the road to take on Paradise Adventist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise Adventist Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
