La Jolla had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 1.8 goals), and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They didn't even let Mission Bay onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Caroline Bruner had the honor of scoring the game-winner for La Jolla.
La Jolla's one-goal win came courtesy of Bruner, who's now up to two this season.
La Jolla pushed their record up to 9-2-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Mission Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.
La Jolla will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mission Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against San Diego at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Diego has not scored a goal the last three times they've played, a trend they'll try and put an end to.
