Baseball Recap: Castro Valley Has No Trouble Against Saint Mary's

Castro Valley never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Saint Mary on Saturday. They blew past the Panthers 11-1. Considering the Trojans have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Castro Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Saint Mary's, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Castro Valley will face off against Berkeley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Saint Mary's, they will take on De Anza at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Dons at the right time seeing as the Dons are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
