Casa Roble waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Natomas Nighthawks as they made off with a 14-0 win. With that victory, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Max Ogden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Casa Roble is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise. Ogden was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Ian Peatross was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Pitnikoff, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Casa Roble always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Casa Roble pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.67 hits in those games compared to only 4.8 in the others. As for Natomas, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Casa Roble will be playing at home against Sutter at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Sutter will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Casa Roble surely won't give up without a fight. As for Natomas, they will take on Woodland at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Natomas' pitchers better be ready for this one: Woodland has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
