Bagley will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Everything went Bagley's way against Cass Lake-Bena last week as they made off with a 43-14 win. Bagley were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They steamrollered Red Lake 47-0.
Their wins bumped Bagley to 2-1 and Walker-Hackensack-Akeley to 2-2. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
