They took a 39-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Villa Victoria Academy. Community Academy of Philadelphia was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Villa Victoria Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Sophia Vitanov, who scored 16 points along with three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rachel Corban, who scored nine points.
Community Academy of Philadelphia bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.4 points per game. As for Villa Victoria Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-5.
Coincidentally, Community Academy of Philadelphia and Villa Victoria Academy will both be playing The City School the next time they take the court. Villa Victoria Academy will head out to face The City School at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Community Academy of Philadelphia will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
