Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Quincy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Maxwell Panthers 67-22. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Quincy found their leader in sophomore Skylar McCarthy, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. McCarthy also set a new season-high mark in steals with six. Another player making a difference was Madeline Blaufuss, who posted 11 points and six assists.
Quincy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in six consecutive matches.
Despite the defeat, Maxwell saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ruby Herrera earned 19 points.
Quincy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
