Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Milton walked away with it. They blew past the Woodward Academy War Eagles 16-3 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
 Elizabeth Wilkes was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and three  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sophia Kirby, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Milton  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 5.6  hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.2.
Milton's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Woodward Academy, they now  have a losing record of 11-12.
 Coming up, Milton will look to defend their home field  on Monday against South Effingham  at 4:00  p.m. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 10.1  runs per game this season. Woodward Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
