Mt. Diablo is 0-4 against Acalanes since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Mt. Diablo Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Acalanes Dons at 7:00 p.m. Mt. Diablo comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Thursday just wasn't the day for Mt. Diablo's offense. They suffered a rough 10-0 defeat at the hands of College Park on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mt. Diablo in their matchups with College Park: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, Acalanes can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Northgate a 4-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Acalanes needed considering they were shutout in their previous zero match.
They hit Northgate with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Ella Thomason (2),
Megan Yee, and
Nicole Nguyen.
Mt. Diablo's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Acalanes, their win bumped their record up to 9-5-4.
