The Surry Central Golden Eagles waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 77-22 victory over Forbush at home. Surry Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 31 points or more this season.
Surry Central was led to victory by Ayden Wilmoth and Tripp Mcmillen. Wilmoth scored 20 points along with five rebounds, while Mcmillen scored 11 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Mcmillen is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Jewell, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Surry Central's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Forbush, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
Surry Central will head out on the road to square off against North Surry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North Surry's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests. As for Forbush, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Surry at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Surry has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
