The JW North Huskies will face off against the Perris Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Perris took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on JW North, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, JW North turned things around against Vista del Lago on Wednesday. They blew past the Ravens 9-3.

Alex Zamora was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because JW North is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-12-1 otherwise. Zamora was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carlos Pena, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Alcantar, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
JW North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Perris duked it out with Canyon Springs on Wednesday. The Panthers came up short against the Cougars, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost six in a row.
JW North's victory bumped their record up to 8-14-1. As for Perris, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
Everything went JW North's way against Perris when the teams last played on April 10th, as JW North made off with a 17-0 win. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
