In what's become a running theme this season, Vance Charter gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Oxford Prep 55-32. Given Vance Charter's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Griffins are ranked 508th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-12, which was the final score in Henderson Collegiate's tilt against the Bobcats on Tuesday. Henderson Collegiate was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-5.
Vance Charter's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Henderson Collegiate, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
