Markham with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 62-43. That's another feather in the cap for Holland Patent, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Holland Patent's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Terralyn McLaughlin, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten steals. McLaughlin is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for six games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Michaela Cushman, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
The victory got Holland Patent back to even at 9-9. As for Mt. Markham, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Holland Patent will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Adirondack at 1:45 p.m. Holland Patent is facing Adirondack at the right time seeing as Adirondack is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Mt. Markham, they will head out on the road to face off against Herkimer at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mt. Markham and Herkimer are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
