Football Recap: Bloomfield Piles Up the Points Against Moriarty

Bloomfield had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 53.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Moriarty Pintos 51-7. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won six games by 41 points or more so far this season.

Manual (Peanut) Chavarria threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. Deasyl Priddy was his top target, picking up 121 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Miguel (Lito) Hutchens rushed for 50 yards and one score.

Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Moriarty, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bloomfield is set to face off against their familiar foe Bernalillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bobcats 11, the Spartans 11.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Moriarty will square off against rival Grants at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
