The Laguna Hills Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Tustin Tillers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Laguna Hills' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Tustin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Laguna Hills barely beat Calvary Chapel the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks blew past the Eagles 16-3 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Nic Park made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Laguna Hills is 8-4 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Park was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Damian Youngman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Nathan Ivey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, Tustin waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eagles.
Adam Whyte spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Tustin's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Benally, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Dylan Benally also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Laguna Hills' record is now 14-12. As for Tustin, their record now sits at 11-15-1.
Laguna Hills came up short against Tustin in their previous matchup back in April, falling 5-2. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
