Football Recap: Menaul Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

If Questa wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Menaul, they should've done a better job of containing Luke Boatman. The Panthers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 40-30 on Saturday for which the team can thank Boatman, who rushed for 289 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 159 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 100.7 rushing yards per game.

Menaul didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carlos Cummins and Kelly Boneza. Boneza is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made ten or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Questa lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Adam Gordon, who rushed for 128 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Juan Cisneros, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries.

Menaul pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.8 points over those games. As for Questa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Menaul has already played their next matchup, a 50-0 victory against Cloudcroft on the 24th. As for Questa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 54-16 loss against Clayton on the 24th.
