Basketball Recap: Higley Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Higley won the last time they faced Queen Creek and things went their way on Friday too. The Higley Knights blew past the Queen Creek Bulldogs 86-61. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Higley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donovan Dabney, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight assists and seven rebounds. That's the most assists Dabney has posted since back in December of 2024. Gavin Dabney was another key player, going 7 for 10 en route to 20 points.

Higley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Queen Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Higley will square off against Desert Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Ridge has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with five straight losses, while Higley will come in with six straight wins. As for Queen Creek, they will take on Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Queen Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
