Central Catholic is 1-9 against Kimball since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Last Tuesday, Central Catholic came up short against Manteca and fell 42-33. While losing is never fun, Central Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 756th, while Manteca is ranked 152nd).
Kimball posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Oakdale 64-19 on the road. With Kimball ahead 43-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Central Catholic's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Kimball, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-7.
Central Catholic came up short against Kimball in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 57-44. Can Central Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
