Mellen had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 69-27 win over the Lac Courte Oreilles Eagles. The Granite Diggers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Mellen's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. As for Lac Courte Oreilles, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mellen will head out to square off against Bayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bayfield has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 271 points over their last three games.
