Sitka is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Juneau-Douglas, who was ranked third at the time (Sitka was ranked tenth). The Wolves put the hurt on the Crimson Bears with a sharp 15-2 win last Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Caleb Calhoun made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Sitka is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-8-1 otherwise. Calhoun was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.
