Last Friday, San Pedro strolled past Banning with points to spare, taking the game 51-33.
San Pedro relied on the efforts of Noelani Raigans, who scored 13 points along with three steals, and Shalia Coleman, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Raigans is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Maia Wooldridge, who scored nine points.
Rolling Hills Prep suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 68-48 defeat at the hands of Marlborough. While losing is never fun, Rolling Hills Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while Marlborough is ranked 150th).
San Pedro is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Rolling Hills Prep, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
